On February 27,
2019, at approximately 3:55 p.m., police executed a search warrant on a
residence on the 900 block of Montague Street as a result of investigation into
a recent break and enter to a Regina business. Police entered the residence and
two people were detained, one of which was a 27 year-old male, who provided
police with a false identity, and was charged with obstruction as a result.
Once the identity of the male was determined if was discovered that the male
was in breach of a recognizance.
The search revealed several pieces of identification not belonging to the
occupants of the residence, as well as multiple items that had been reported
stolen. The 27 year-old male was charged as a result.
Twenty-seven year-old Andrew Johnthon PELLETIER, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [CC 355(B)];
- Identity fraud – possess identity document [CC 56.1(1)];
- Fail to comply with recognizance [CC 145(3)]; and
- Obstruct peace officer [CC 129(A)].
PELLETIER made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court yesterday, February 28, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.
