The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan’s Coroners Service, is now investigating the death of a male, discovered on February 14th, as a homicide case. This is the first homicide investigation in Regina in 2019.
The death investigation began with the discovery, in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 14, 2019, of a deceased male. Regina Police Service members attended to a routine call for service in the 800 block of Montague Street and, as they were conducting their investigation in that area, they discovered the body of an adult male, outdoors. EMS was called to the scene and confirmed the person to be deceased. Police secured the scene, requested a coroner and started the process of investigation into the death. Evidence gathered now points to treating the death as a homicide case. The deceased male has been identified and his family has been notified of his death. The victim is 27 year-old Morris POITRAS, of Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan. There have been no arrests in connection with this investigation.
