A 37 year-old Regina male is facing charges including Possession of Stolen Property and Fraud in connection with recent incidents of Break and Enter.
On January 24th, 2019, a dwelling in the 300 block of Lorne Street North was broken into, and several items stolen, including electronics. On January 25, 2019, a number of items stolen in the Break and Enter were brought into a pawn shop by a person claiming the items were his. On January 30, 2019, a male was arrested and charged for Possession of Stolen property and Fraud associated to these incidents. This individual was released for court on those charges.
On February 1st, 2019, a dwelling in the 2700 block of 24th Avenue was broken into, and a large coin collection and jewelry were stolen. On February 4, 2019, a male came into a pawn shop and tried to pawn some of the stolen property, but fled before police arrived. On February 7, 2019, members of the Regina Police Service Property Crimes unit executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of Robinson Street. A 37 year-old male suspect was arrested and a large portion of the stolen coin collection was recovered. The male was subsequently charged and held for court.
Thirty-seven year-old Justin Russell DESNOMIE, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 x Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC];
- Fraud under $5,000 [380(1)(b) CC];
DESNOMIE made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019.
