A male is facing numerous firearms charges after an incident on Tuesday evening.
On February 5, 2019 at approximately 11:30 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 500 block of Toronto Street. After confirming the identity of the male driver, police learned the driver was arrestable on warrants. Officers placed the male under arrest. Through the investigation, police located a firearm and ammunition. The male was subsequently charged with firearm-related offences.
Thirty-four year-old Daniel Wade MCNABB of Regina is charged with:
- Careless possession of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition [86(1) CC];
- Possess of a weapon [88 CC];
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition [95(1)(A) CC]; and
- 2 x possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order [117.01(1) CC].
MCNABB will appear in Provincial Court for these charges on February 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
