A Regina male and female are facing evade charges after an incident that carried into the early morning hours of February 1, 2019.
On January 31, 2019 at approximately 11:00 p.m., police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Hamilton Street and 1st Avenue North, but the vehicle did not stop and instead evaded police. Police later located the vehicle at approximately 1:40 a.m. in the area of Dewdney Avenue and Elphinstone Street. Police activated emergency lights and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle once again did not stop and instead evaded police.
Shortly after, the vehicle was located, abandoned, on the 1900 block of Cameron Street. The Canine Unit conducted a track and located a male and a female suspect at a residence on the 3000 block of 12th Avenue. The two suspects were arrested without incident and charged.
Twenty-nine year-old Jessica Lynn BRADY of Regina and forty-four year-old Chad Allan ROSTAD of Regina are charged with one count each of flight from peace officer [320.17 CC].
BRADY and ROSTAD will appear in court for these charges on March 6, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
