A male adult and a female youth are facing robbery charges after an incident on December 29, 2018.
On December 29, 2018
at approximately 11:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery and an
assault that had occurred in the early hours of the morning. Reports indicate
that at approximately 3:00 a.m., the victim was at a residence on the 1000
block of Retallack Street when a male suspect and a female suspect assaulted
the victim and took the victim’s money, wallet, and personal items.
The victim sustained minor injuries. Through the investigation, police arrested
and charged two suspects.
Twenty-seven year-old Philip AFOLABI of Regina is charged with:
- Robbery [344(1)(B) CC];
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [355(B) CC];
- Obstruct peace officer [129(A) CC]; and
- Fail to comply with recognizance [145(3) CC].
AFOLABI appeared in Provincial Court for these charges on December 31, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
A 17 year-old female, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with Robbery [344(1)(B) CC]. The youth will appear in Youth Provincial Court for this charge on February 4, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
