A 36 year-old Regina male is facing charges in connection with a house fire that occurred in Regina yesterday: December 10, 2018.
At approximately 8:51 a.m., on Monday, December 10, 2018, members of the Regina Police Service were dispatched to assist Regina Fire and Protective Services at the scene of a house fire in the 1700 block of Alexandra Street. Reports indicated the house was fully engulfed in flame. Through investigation, police learned of a possible suspect who was interviewed later that morning. This suspect was subsequently charged in connection with the fire.
Thirty-six year-old Merrill Wade TANNER, of Regina, is charged with Arson with Disregard for Human Life, contrary to section 433(a) of the Criminal Code. TANNER made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
