On September 29, 2018 at approximately 9:45 p.m. police were dispatched to the 1700 block of East Dewdney Avenue for a report of a business robbery.
A lone male suspect had entered the business wearing a mask covering his face and was carrying a knife. The suspect demanded money and was given an amount. Officers quickly responded to the location and were able to apprehend the suspect without incident. There were no injuries sustained during the robbery.
Twenty six year-old Jay Darren MORTON (DOB: 1992/08/12), of Regina, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344 (1)(b)];
- Disguise with Intent [CC 351 (2)];
- Carry Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
- Possession of a Controlled Substance [CDSA 4(5)].
Jay MORTON will be held in custody and make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on October 1, 2018 at 9:30 am.
