Three youth and two adults are facing charges relating to stolen auto.
On September 26, 2018 at around 3:45 p.m., police observed five people in a vehicle, confirmed to be a stolen auto. The vehicle was travelling south on Broad Street and then turned into a parking lot on the 1800 block of 11th Avenue. A male suspect and a female suspect exited the vehicle while three male suspected remained in the vehicle. Police apprehended the three suspects inside the vehicle. The other two suspects were located, minutes later, in a nearby business and taken into custody.
Twenty year-old Chastity Lynn DESJARLAIS, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [355(b) CC]; and
- Fail to comply [733.1(1)].
Eighteen year-old Jamie DESJARLAIS, of Raymore, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [355(B) CC];
- Carrying a concealed weapon [90 CC]; and
- 2 x Fail to comply [137 YCJA].
Chastity DESJARLAIS and Jamie DESJARLAIS appeared in Provincial Court on these charges on September 27, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
Two 17 year-old males and one 16 year-old male, all of Regina, who will not be named in accordance with provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [355(B) CC].
The youth made their first appearance in Provincial Youth Court on these charges on September 27, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
