A 19 year-old male is in hospital with serious injuries in connection with a hit and run incident that occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on August 19, 2018.
Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Victoria Avenue East at approximately 1:30 a.m. for a report of a hit and run with a pedestrian. EMS attended to the victim and transported him to hospital with injuries described as serious. Preliminary investigation indicates that a red SUV type vehicle driving eastbound on Victoria Avenue struck a pedestrian who was walking northbound across Victoria Avenue. The vehicle continued eastbound on Victoria Avenue after striking the pedestrian.
Eastbound traffic will be restricted on Victoria Avenue from Park Street during the investigation.
