The Regina Police Service is continuing to investigate a collision, involving a vehicle and pedestrian, which occurred on Thursday, June 28, 2018.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018, police were dispatched to the area of Victoria Avenue and Osler Street for a motor vehicle collision involving a truck and a pedestrian. EMS was also dispatched to the call. The first officer on the scene found the victim lying in the roadway. The officer positioned his vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Victoria for the safety of the victim and responders, and then attended to the victim until other units and EMS arrived. The truck involved in the collision was nearby; the driver identified himself to police at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates the truck was eastbound on Victoria Avenue. A 52 year-old male pedestrian was crossing Victoria Avenue from the south side of the street to the north side, when he was struck by the vehicle. The victim was transported to hospital where he remains for treatment of his injuries.
