A twenty-two year old male and a nineteen year old male are facing numerous charges related to recent residential Break and Enters in Regina in which attached garages were used to further access homes in several parts of the city.
On June 1, 2018, at approximately 3:00am police were dispatched to a report of a break and enter in progress in the 5000 block of Crane Crescent. Upon arrival police observed a vehicle driving away from the scene at a high rate of speed. Police attempted to stop the vehicle however it did not stop for police. The suspect vehicle was located approximately fifteen minutes later on Dewdney Avenue near Pinkie Road. A member of the Regina Police Service successfully deployed a Tire Deflation Device and the suspect vehicle came to a stop in the 1200 block of Toronto Street where two adult male suspects were arrested without incident. The vehicle contained a large amount of stolen property from several break and enters in the city.
Twenty-two-year old Brandon PELLETIER, of Regina, is charged with the following offences which occurred between May 26th and June 1st:
- 3 X Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [355(b) CC];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [355(a) CC];
- 4 X Break Enter and Commit [348(1)(b) CC];
- Theft Under $5000 [334(b) CC];
- Mischief Under $5000 [430(4) CC];
- Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer [249.1(1) CC]
Nineteen-year old Dustin NELSON, of Regina, is charged with the following offences which occurred between May 26th and June 1st:
- 5 X Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [355(b) CC];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [355(a) CC];
- 4 X Break Enter and Commit [348(1)(b) CC];
- Theft Under $5000 [334(b) CC];
- Fail to Comply with a Probation Order [733.1(1) CC]
Both accused will appear in Provincial Court, Monday June 4, 2018.
