A twenty-one year-old Regina male is facing a number of charges in connection with recent robberies.
On March 19, 2018, police were notified of a robbery that took place in the 1200 Block of Rae Street. The victim was lured over a social media site to an address in the 1200 block of Rae Street to buy an item that was advertised for sale. Once inside the residence, the suspect showed a weapon and demanded money from the victim.
On March 24, 2018, police were dispatched to an incident where the suspect again used a social media site to advertise an item for sale. When the victim arrived in the 1300 block of Rae Street, the suspect took the money and gave the victim an item other than what was advertised. This incident is a fraud investigation.
On March 30, 2018, police were dispatched to a robbery in the 1500 Block of Cameron Street. As in the previous cases, the suspect used social media to advertise an item for sale. When the victim arrived, the suspect demanded money, holding what was described as bear mace. The victim was able to flee and notify police.
Investigation led to a 21 year-old male, Jared ASAPACE, of Regina, who is charged with
- 2 X Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Fraud Under $5,000.
ASAPACE first attended Provincial Court on March 26, 2018, and on April 11, 2018, in connection with the March 30th offence.
