The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help in its investigation into an overnight incident that left one male injured.
At approximately 11:15 last night: Monday, March 26, 2018, police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Garnet Street for a report of a weapons offence, involving a knife. The caller indicated a male had been stabbed. Police attended and located a 36 year-old male, who was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries. En route to hospital, officers learned that the male victim was not injured at the Garnet Street location and may have been struck by a vehicle as well. These events are believed to have occurred in the area of 7th Avenue and York Street, sometime before 11:15 p.m. It is not clear at this time, if there was an altercation that resulted in a stabbing and possible collision, but police are looking for more information to clarify the circumstances. At this time, investigators have not been able to obtain reliable, consistent information about this event.
