Police have arrested a 34 year-old male in connection with the February 18 homicide of Regina man, Justin Langan. On Sunday, February 18, at approximately 8:10 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Pasqua Street for the report of a male injured in an apparent firearms offence during a robbery. Police and EMS attended and located a forty year-old male, who was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Investigation revealed the death to be a homicide. A thirty-one year-old male was arrested and charged in connection with the homicide on February 18.
Investigation led to a second suspect, a 34 year-old male, and his location at a residence on the 400 block of Retallack Street. On February 22, 2018, police members, including Major Crimes Unit, Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) Team, Crisis Negotiator Team, and Explosives Disposal Unit, executed a warrant on the residence, where the 34 year-old male was arrested.
Donald Chad PELLETIER, of Regina, is charged with:
- First degree murder [CC 235(1)];
- Armed robbery using a firearm [CC 344(1)(A.1)]; and
- Fail to comply [CC 145(3)].
PELLETIER made his first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges today, February 26, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.
