One male faces a charge of uttering threats after police responded to a reported firearm incident in Regina last night.
On January 30, 2018, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Ottawa Street for the report of a weapons offense involving a firearm. Information received was that a male was pointing something which he claimed to be a firearm, concealed by a blanket, at a female.
Police arrived and everyone exited the residence except for a male, who remained inside. At approximately 3:20 a.m., the male came out of the residence. Police detained the male for a weapons offense. A search was conducted of the residence, but a firearm was not located.
Thirty-two year-old Jessie Thomas Stanley RAY, of Regina, is charged with uttering threats [CC 264.1(1)(A)].
RAY makes his first appearance on this charge in Provincial Court today, January 31, 2018, at 2:00 p.m.
