A 36 year-old Regina male is facing charges after an incident on Sunday, September 10th that resulted in injuries to an adult female victim.
At about 5:50 p.m., on Sunday, September 10, 2017, police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Quebec Street for a report of an assault. Initial information received in the call indicated a male was assaulting a female. The male left the area on foot and the female went into a residence. Police and EMS attended and found a female victim who’d sustained lacerations. She was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Other police units in the areas located a male matching the description of the suspect male; he was taken into custody without further incident. Further investigation led to charges against the male.
A 36 year-old male, who is a resident of the same household as the victim, is charged with Aggravated Assault [268(1) CC] and Breach of Probation [733.1(1)]. His name will not be released at this time. The accused will make his court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 930 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017.
