On September 4, at approximately 3:12 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Prince of Wales Drive for the report of a motor vehicle incident with injuries. It was reported that a motorhome had struck a pedestrian.
Police and EMS arrived and attended to a thirty-four year-old male, who was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Witness reports indicate that while the thirty-four year-old male was driving his car on Prince of Wales Drive, he struck a curb in order to avoid the motorhome, causing damage to the car. The motorhome stopped and the thirty-four year-old male approached on foot. As the motorhome drove away, the male held on to exterior. The driver braked and the man fell off, causing injury. The motorhome left the scene, but later returned. The driver of the motorhome, a forty-six year-old male, was arrested and charged.
Forty-six year-old Christopher Alan MARTYN (1970/11/10), of Regina, is charged with Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Involving Bodily Harm [252(1.2) CC].
MARTYN makes his first appearance on this charge in Provincial Court on October 11, 2017, at 9:30 a.m.
