Three adult males are facing weapons charges after a SWAT call on Thursday evening in Regina.
On Thursday, July 13, 2017, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Regina Police Service obtained and carried out a search warrant on a residence on the 900 block of Argyle Street. Ongoing investigations lead to information about weapons and drugs in the residence. This information prompted the request for authorization of the SWAT Team (Special Weapons and Tactics), to assist Patrol and Canine members to clear the residence of weapons. Three males were charged with numerous offences and arrested without incident. A search of the premises revealed three firearms, ammunition, and a small amount of illegal substances in the residence.
Twenty-four year-old Nayo Pisim FOX (DOB: 1992-10-05), of Regina is charged with:
• Possession of Weapon [Sec 88, CC];
• Four charges of Fail to Comply with Recognizance [Sec 145(3), CC];
• Flight while Pursued by Peace Officer [Sec 249.1(1), CC];
• Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition [Sec 95(1), CC];
• Three charges of Possession of Firearm Knowing it’s Possession is Unauthorized [Sec 92(1), CC];
• Three charges of Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [Sec 86(1), CC];
• Three charges of Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime [Sec 96(1), CC];
• Four charges of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [Sec 117.01(1), CC].
Twenty-eight year-old Bradley Calvin Charles JEROME (DOB: 1989-04-07), of Regina is charged with:
• Possession of Weapon [Sec 88, CC];
• Two charges of Fail to Comply with Recognizance [Sec 145(3), CC];
• Three charges of Possession of Firearm Knowing it’s Possession is Unauthorized [Sec 92(1), CC];
• Three charges of Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [Sec 86(1), CC];
• Three charges of Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime [Sec 96(1), CC];
• Three charges of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [Sec 117.01(1), CC].
Thirty-one year-old Adam COTE (DOB: 1985-08-21), of Regina is charged with:
• Possession of Weapon [Sec 88, CC];
• Three charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [Sec 91(1), CC];
• Three charges of Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [Sec 86(1), CC];
• Three charges of Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime [Sec 96(1), CC];
All three males will make their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, July 14, 2017.
