One adult male was transported to Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a collision involving two vehicles (one of which is a marked police vehicle) occurred at the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Albert Street.
On Monday June 12, 2017 at approximately 7:33pm the Regina Police Service responded to a collision which occurred at the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Albert Street. The investigation determined that a marked police vehicle, with emergency equipment activated, was travelling westbound in the left lane on Dewdney Avenue through the intersection at Albert Street. The Police vehicle was struck by a Ford F150 truck that was southbound in the right drive lane on Albert Street.
One of the five occupants of the truck was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Traffic at the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Albert Street was diverted while the investigation was completed and vehicles removed.
The Driver of the Ford F150 was charged under section 238(9) of the Traffic Safety Act – Failing to Yield to Emergency Vehicle Using Emergency Device and/or Emergency Lights.
