A 29 year-old Regina male and a 28 year-old Fort Qu’Appelle female are facing drug trafficking and drug possession charges following a traffic stop on May 14, 2017.
On May 14, 2017, police conducted a traffic stop at Albert Street and 2nd Avenue at approximately 1500 hours with three occupants in the vehicle. During the traffic stop, officers noticed a large amount of marihuana in plain view. The suspects were searched and officers found additional methamphetamine, marihuana, cocaine, a large amount of Xanax, multiple cell phones, and drug paraphernalia. Two of the occupants of the vehicle were arrested and taken into custody without incident. The driver of the vehicle was released with no charges.
Twenty-nine year-old Logan Edward-Thomas ROSS (DOB: 1988-03-11), of Regina, is facing a charge of:
• Possession of a Scheduled Substance (methamphetamine), for the Purpose of Trafficking, [Sec 5(2) CDSA];
• Possession of a Scheduled Substance (marihuana) for the Purpose of Trafficking, [Sec 5(2) CDSA];
• Possession of a Scheduled Substance (cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking, [Sec 5(2) CDSA];
• Possession of a Scheduled Substance (Xanax) for the Purpose of Trafficking, [Sec 5(2) CDSA];
• Fail to Comply with Recognizance [Sec 145(3), CC];
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order [Sec 733.1(1), CC].
ROSS made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017.
Twenty-eight year-old Christina Marie COOK (DOB: 1988-12-18), of Fort Qu’Appelle, is facing charges of:
• Possession of a Schedule II Substance (marihuana) [Sec 4(5), CDSA];
• Possession of a Scheduled Substance (methamphetamine) [Sec 4(1), CDSA].
COOK was released on officer recognizance and will make her first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017.
