A 20 year-old Regina male faces a number of charges, including auto-theft related charges from a November, 2016 incident, in which a car, with a child in the car seat, was stolen, then abandoned.
On Saturday April 15th, 2017, Regina Police Service Members came in contact with Samson GOODWILL-SEVERIGHT (DOB: 96/05/24) through an unrelated investigation. On this date GOODWILL-SEVERIGHT is alleged to have been in possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine) as well as having several outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was also interviewed with respect to several other outstanding files with the Regina Police Service. One of these files involved the theft of a motor vehicle on November 17, 2016, when a vehicle parked at a business was stolen. There was a child in a car seat in the vehicle at the time of the theft. The child was not harmed during the incident; it’s believed once the suspect realized a child was in the vehicle, the vehicle was parked and police were notified immediately as to where the vehicle could be recovered. Investigation into all outstanding matters has resulted in the following charges including the theft of the vehicle with the child onboard:
Twenty year-old Samson GOODWILL-SEVERIGHT (DOB: 1996/05/24) of Regina is charged with the following:
- Theft of auto (Section 333.1(1)) X 2 (two separate incidents)
- Possession of stolen vehicle under $5000 (Section 355(B))
- Assault with a weapon (Section 267(A))
- Possession of Methamphetamine (Section 4(1) CDSA)
GOODWILL-SEVERIGHT will make his first appearance on these charges on April 17, 2017.
