The Regina Police Service, along with police from across the province, will be running high visibility check stops throughout the year, starting this weekend, to help curb and catch impaired driving offences.
The goal of these check stops is to prevent impaired driving by increasing police presence on roadways, and the public perception of impaired driving. These check-stops will be a good way for police to interact with the public in a positive manner, and to increase the awareness around impaired driving.
By reducing the incidents of impaired driving in Regina, and Saskatchewan, we all win and we all go home safe. The Regina Police Service would like to thank everyone who volunteers to be the sober driver for their friends and family members.
