On March 28, 2017, police received information of a stolen firearm at a residence on Walters Court, in Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan.
A search warrant was obtained, and Regina Police Service, in cooperation with White Butte RCMP, executed the warrant. Two occupants inside the residence were detained. Upon search of the residence, the stolen firearm was recovered and one of the occupants, a 31 year-old male, was charged.
Thirty-one year-old Tyler Justin DONNELLY (DOB: 1985/12/06), of Pilot Butte, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 354];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm [CC 91(1)];
- Careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition [CC 86(1)]; and
- Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime [CC 96(1)].
DONNELLY will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
