The Regina Police Service was called to a robbery at 1:50 am to the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and McIntyre Street.
Prior to police arrival, a female was walking eastbound on 2nd Avenue North from McIntyre Street, when a lone male approached her from behind. The male initially grabbed at the purse of the victim, but was met with resistance. Charged with robbery is 35 year-old Richard Mervin CROWE (DOB: 1981/11/14) of Regina.
The victim’s purse and all the contents were recovered. Injuries suffered by the victim were minor.
