The Regina Police Service was dispatched to the 3500 block of Dewdney Ave. to a convenience store, on January 25, 2017, at 7:17 p.m. to investigate a reported robbery. Information was reported that a lone male with a knife attempted to rob the business and left before getting anything.
Again on the same day at 8:32 p.m. Regina Police Service members were dispatched to the 4600 block of Albert St. to investigate a reported robbery. Information received here was that a male with a knife entered a business there and left with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.
None of the suspects were apprehended and it is unknown whether the two robberies are related or not. Both commercial robberies are still under investigation.
On January 26, 2017, at 12:28 a.m. the Regina Police Service was dispatched to 8th Ave. and Angus St. for a reported robbery of a taxi cab. It was reported that a male with a firearm and a female with a knife robbed the taxi driver in the area of the dispatched location. The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
This matter is also still under investigation.
