After “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” comes “Giving Tuesday”. The Regina Police Service is partnering with Family Service Regina to increase awareness and donations to this agency. Donations help Family Service Regina continue their services in the community, by supporting those affected by domestic violence, teen pregnancy, and those in need of counselling services. Saskatchewan has the highest rate of police-reported partner-violence in Canada, and organizations like Family Service Regina aid those victims.
“We’re proud to work alongside The Regina Police Service and share in their advocacy to end and support those affected by domestic violence. Family Service Regina provides year-round programs and services on behalf of Regina families that are experiencing unhealthy conflict and support for teen mothers facing adult responsibilities. On Giving Tuesday, anyone making an online donation to Family Service Regina will be asked to keep the giving going: Using the hashtags, #GivingTuesdayCA, #TogetherWeCan and #UNSELFIE, they can encourage friends and family on their social media networks to give and to share photos or stories of friends and loved ones on the spectrum while encouraging our community to support a cause that’s sole dedication is creating a healthier Regina.” says Carissa Trenton, Communications & Fund Development at Family Service Regina.
Show your support today by taking an #unselfie and donating to Family Service Regina. #TogetherWeCan end domestic violence, help a teen mom finish high school, and support a family to be happy.
