The Regina Police Service is requesting information in relation to four incidents involving firearms which occurred yesterday, November 22nd, 2016. It is not known, at this time, if any of these cases are related.
On November 22nd, 2016, at 4:37 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Argyle Street regarding a weapons offence. Reports indicate that a firearm was discharged multiple times in the direction of a house on the 1000 block. While no suspect descriptions are available at this time, it is believed that the suspect with the firearm got out of a vehicle and discharged the firearm at the house before returning to the vehicle. No one was physically injured in this incident and police did not locate the suspects at or near the scene.
On November 22nd at 9:10 p.m., police were dispatched after receiving a report that an adult male had been walking down 5th Avenue and King Street when a vehicle approached. It’s alleged there was a brief verbal exchange, and then a male suspect pulled out a firearm and and discharged it in the direction of the pedestrian’s feet. The vehicle then drove away. No one was physically injured in this incident. When police arrived, the suspect vehicle was gone.
Also on November 22nd, at 10:25 p.m., police were dispatched to a reported home invasion on the 700 block of Garnet Street. Preliminary investigation indicates a male armed with a firearm, and a female, entered a residence and demanded money. The two suspects fled shortly after and there were no shots fired. No one was physically injured in this incident.
Also on November 22nd, at 11:03 p.m., police were dispatched to a firearms offence on the 1500 block of Rae Street. Early investigation indicates two males entered a residence and pointed a firearm at a male, then left. It is believed that they left in a vehicle heading east on 9th Avenue. There were no shots fired in this incident and no physical injuries sustained by the victim.
It is not yet determined if any of these incidents are related.
