The Regina Police Service is advising members of the public and motorists that an earlier Emergency Services call to a residence in the 400 block of Royal Street is now concluded. Residents of the area have been advised of the “all clear” by the Regina Police Service Communications Centre.
This operation was the pre-planned execution of a high-risk warrant. To protect police and public, this operation involved Crisis Negotiation, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and Canine unit members, as well as uniformed and plain clothes police officers. The operation was concluded successfully without incident. As the result, three people were taken into custody by police. Investigation will continue to determine their roles in this investigation. The house was searched as per the warrant.
Details on the persons arrested and any charges will be made public in a news release to follow.
The Regina Police Service thanks the media and the public for their cooperation in this matter.
