A 74 year-old Regina male is facing charges after the discovery of a large outdoor marihuana grow operation in the RMs of Indian Head and South Qu’Appelle. This grow-op was discovered by Regina Police Service members assisted by members of the RCMP, in the execution of a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) warrant.
The CDSA search warrant was obtained as part of the investigation into a long-term missing persons file: the case of Patrick Cyril THAUBERGER, who has been missing from Regina since September 3, 1997.
As part of the investigation into Patrick THAUBERGER’s disappearance, officers discovered a large outdoor marihuana grow operation with over 300 plants. A 74 year-old Regina male was arrested without incident on October 7th and subsequently charged.
Seventy-four year-old Joseph George THAUBERGER, DOB: 1942-08-26, of Regina is charged with Production of a Scheduled Substance (cannabis marihuana), section 7(1) CDSA; and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, section 5(2) CDSA. Details as to the court appearance will be made public once they are determined.
