A 46 year-old Regina male was in court today, Wednesday, July 6, 2016, on a dozen charges related to recent incidents of Break & Enter, Theft and Mischief.
The Regina Police Service has been actively investigating several recent incidents of Break and Enter to businesses, shoplifting from stores, thefts of licence plates and thefts of vehicles. As the result of continued investigation, detectives were able to gather the evidence to identify a suspect in some incidents. That led to the arrest of a 46 year-old male, just after 3:00 p.m. on July 5, 2016. The locations of the alleged thefts and B&Es include: the 1100 block Victoria Avenue, 100 block N. McDonald Street, 2000 block Prince of Wales Drive, 3900 block East Quance Street. These offences occurred between May 25, 2016 and July 5, 2016.
Forty-six year-old Ronald Joseph SAUER, DOB: 1970-05-07, of Regina, is facing 12 charges in total;

– Theft/Shoplifting under $5,000 [334(b) CC] (store merchandise, July 3);
– Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC] (license plate, July 3);
– Break, Enter and Commit Theft [348(1)(b) CC] (business, July 2);
– Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC] (license plate, July 2);
– Break, Enter and Commit Theft [348(1)(b) CC] (business, July 3);
– Theft/Shoplifting under $5,000 [334(b) CC] (tiller from business, June 26);

SAUER made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
