The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public in locating a Regina male wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for Arrest on charges of Attempt Murder in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at a nightclub in the 600 block of Victoria Avenue East on Friday, April 29, 2016. Two males, a 22 year-old and a 35 year-old, were taken to hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.
The accused is 30 year-old Omar Abdi Hakim HAJI-HUSSEIN, DOB: 1985-08-06, of Regina. HAJI-HUSSEIN is facing two charges of Attempt Murder [sec. 239 CC]. Attempts to locate HAJI-HUSSEIN have so far been unsuccessful. HAJI-HUSSEIN is described as male, 30 years old, non-Caucasian, brown-skinned, approximately 6’ 2” tall, weighing about 250 pounds. HAJI-HUSSEIN has black hair and brown eyes. HAJI-HUSSEIN also may go by the name Abdi Hakim OMAR or simply “Z”.
Police are not releasing a photo of this individual at this time; however, they are asking anyone who knows of the whereabouts of this male to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Anyone who knows this individual is asked to use caution and not approach this suspect; anyone who sees him is asked to call 9-1-1 instead.
