On May 7, 2016 at approximately 8:50 PM Police were dispatched to the intersection of McCarthy Boulevard and Dalgliesh Drive for a report of an accident involving a vehicle and cyclist. The cyclist was transported by EMS to hospital as a precautionary measure and to be treated for minor injury.
Police conducted an investigation to learn that the motorist proceeded northbound on McCarthy Boulevard from Dalgliesh Drive on a fresh green traffic light. The cyclist attempted to cross Dalgliesh Drive eastbound in front of traffic when he was struck by the motorist. Independent witnesses were interviewed by police.
No charges will be laid against either party.
