A male and female are in custody after a callout of Emergency Services team, earlier today.
At approximately 6:25 a.m. this morning, March 30, 2016, police were dispatched to a report of a suspicious person. The suspect had barricaded in a house in the 1100 block McTavish Street and refused to come out. Police believed the suspect to be armed and not alone. Emergency Services teams were called, including Crisis Negotiators, Canine, Explosive Disposal Unit, and members of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. today, two adults- one male and one female- were successfully extracted from the residence. After being assessed by EMS both were taken into custody. No one was injured in this incident.
Traffic in the area has now reopened.
