Two males face charges after Regina Police Service members executed a high-risk search warrant last night at a house in the in the Uplands neighbourhood of Regina. The investigators and patrol members were assisted by Crisis Negotiators and SWAT members.
At approximately 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, the Special Weapons and Tactics, or SWAT, as well as Crisis Negotiator teams were utilized in the execution of a high-risk search warrant. This took place at a residence in the 900 block of Broad Street North. The search warrant was carried out without incident. Among items found in the search were a stolen snowblower and a machete. Investigation is continuing to determine the origins and ownership of numerous other items found in the residence. Two males, ages 36 and 38, were charged.
Thirty-six year-old Jason John Wayne LEGARE, DOB: 1979-11-22, of Regina, is charged with Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC]. Thirty-eight year-old Shean STEWART, DOB 1977-05-25, of Regina, is charged with Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC] and two charges of Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC]. Both men made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today: Thursday, March 17, 2016.
