On March 7, 2016 at 1605hrs, the Regina Police Service received several calls regarding a motor vehicle accident at Gordon Rd and Lewvan Dr.
A 58 year-old male driver who was westbound on Gordon Rd struck a 50 year-old female driver who was southbound on Lewvan Dr, in the right hand turning lane intending to go westbound on Gordon Rd. The impact pushed her vehicle into the pedestrian walk light pole. Witnesses indicate the male driver appeared to be in medical distress.
The male driver was transported to hospital in serious condition, for what is believed to be a medical reason, and he is currently in serious but stable condition. The female driver was not transported to hospital. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
