A 25 year-old Regina female is facing a total of 43 charges, mostly pertaining to fraud and the unauthorized use of credit card information, as the result of a lengthy and complicated investigation.
The Regina Police Service has been investigating a series of criminal offences from November 2015 including frauds, possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of credit card data. In the course of the investigation, members of the Regina Police Service Commercial Crimes Unit determined that credit card data obtained online was manually entered at point-of-sale terminals throughout the city. Â These fraudulent credit card numbers resulted in charge-backs to the businesses at which they were used. Â Police identified, arrested and charged a 25 year-old female suspect on December 15, 2015.
Twenty-five year-old Allyson Kristina BACHIU, DOB: 1990-04-08, of no fixed address was charged with:
– Three charges of Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data [342(3) C.C.]
BACHIU made her first court appearance on these charges on December 16, 2015.
Further investigation into the fraud incidents that occurred in November 2015, has led to additional charges against the same individual. On January 29, 2016 the Regina Police Commercial Crimes Unit charged 25 year-old Allyson Kristina BACHIU, DOB: 1990-04-08, with forty additional charges:
– 19 charges of Fraud under $5,000.00 [380(1) (b) C.C.];
– 19 charges of Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data [342(3) C.C.];
– Two charges of Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000.00 [355(b) C.C.];
Additionally, there is an Allegation of Breach of a Conditional Sentence Order. BACHIU’s first court appearance on these new charges is Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
