Four males are facing drug-trafficking charges after the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Team (RIDEST), with assistance from Gangs Unit, Regina Integrated Intelligence Unit, Property Crimes Unit, Stolen Auto Unit, Vice Unit, NWEST (National Weapons Enforcement Support Team), IRU (Integrated Response Unit), Community Services Division, and the Punnichy Detachment & Yorkton RCMP K9 Unit, executed search warrants on 8 residential addresses and 3 vehicles on December 16, 2015. These arrests come as the result of ongoing investigations into drug trafficking in the city of Regina.
The CDSA Search Warrants were executed at seven residences in Regina and another in Raymore, Saskatchewan: a residence on the 2100 Broad Street, 3800 block Robinson Street, 500 block University Park Drive, 2400 block Heseltine Road, 00 block Centennial Street, 100 block Montreal Street, 200 block Lindsay Street, and a residence on the 200 block of King Street in Raymore, Saskatchewan.
Among the items seized in the searches were:
- cocaine: 95.54 grams
- Canadian currency: $19,385.00,
- marihuana: 1.90 grams
- drug paraphernalia
As a result, four males were arrested and subsequently charged in connection with these investigations.
Thirty-four year-old Matthew Shane SAVORY (DOB: 1981/04/10), of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA]
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [355 CC]
Thirty-two year-old Sean Conrad GRANT (DOB: 1983/12/06), of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA]
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [355 CC]
Thirty-two year-old Germaine Christian GRANT (DOB: 1983/05/05), of Maple, Ontario, is charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA]
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [355 CC]
Twenty-seven year-old Hussain AL-NAQEEB (DOB: 1988/09/21), of Regina is charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA]
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [355 CC]
All made their first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning at 9:30 a.m.
