A 20 year-old male, who was the subject of a Warrant for Arrest, charged with Aggravated Assault, has been taken into custody. Twenty year-old Daniel Dennis James LAROSE, DOB: 1995-05-04, of Regina was arrested, without incident, early this morning: Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at approximately 1:00 a.m.
The charges stem from an incident on Sunday, August 9, 2015 in which police responded to the 2100 block of Athol Street for a report of a break and enter. Upon arriving at that location, they found a 25 year-old male who’d been the victim of an aggravated assault. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries; the suspects had fled the scene. Investigation into this incident revealed that the victim and primary suspect are known to each other. An altercation occurred between the victim and the suspect, who was accompanied by other individuals. Their roles in this matter have not been fully determined. Further investigation led to identification of a suspect and charges. A warrant for the arrest of the accused was issued on August 10th and he was arrested on August 11th.
Twenty year-old Daniel Dennis James LAROSE, DOB: 1995-05-04, of Regina, is charged with Aggravated Assault [268(1) CC], Break Enter & Commit Theft [348(1)(b) CC] and Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC]. LAROSE makes his first court appearance in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
