An 18 year-old Regina female is facing charges in connection with an incident in which a vehicle collided into a building in the 2400 block of Dewndey Avenue.
At approximately 8:00p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015, police responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident in the 2400 block of Dewdney Avenue. Preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was eastbound on Dewdney Avenue at Albert Street travelling at a high rate of speed before losing control and colliding with a building. The female driver was not injured and the adult male passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries. The female driver was arrested and charged in connection with this incident. The damage to the vehicle is described as extensive while the damage to the building was minor.
Eighteen year-old Miranda Jean SCHMIDT, DOB: 1996-08-21, of Regina, is charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm [249(3) CC]. SCHMIDT will make her first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
