A 20 year-old Regina male is facing charges in connection with an incident overnight in which a vehicle collided into a house on Rink Avenue in Northwest Regina.
At approximately 3:10 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, police were en route to a call of a noisy party in the 200 block of Church Drive. The complainants indicated there were about a dozen people outside of a residence on that street and possibly an altercation underway. While en route to the noisy party call, police came across male laying at the intersection Rink Avenue and Church Drive, as well as a Honda Civic inside the basement of a house on Rink Avenue. Preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was driven by a male, who was still present at the scene. Fortunately, no one was in the basement at the time of the collision and there were no injuries to any of the occupants of the residence. The male driver was arrested and charged in connection with this event. The damage to the house and the vehicle is described as extensive.
