The Regina Police Service has now arrested and charged a fourth individual in connection with an explosion and house fire that occurred in the 100 block of Cooper Crescent on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. With the most recent arrest, there are now four people facing charges in connection to this event.
This investigation began on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, when police were dispatched to a house in the 100 block of Cooper Crescent to assist other emergency responders already on scene. Callers described an explosion and fire at the house and people injured. When police arrived, the house was engulfed in flames and there was a great deal of smoke. EMS transported three males to hospital: a 35 year-old, a (then) 28 year-old and a 19 year-old. The 28 year-old male had injuries described as relatively minor; the other two males had injuries described as serious. Investigation into these matters determined that the explosion was the result of illegal drug activity in the home. A 58 year-old female and 29 year-old male were charged in May in connection to this event; a 19 year-old male was charged on June 1st (court appearance in July).
Thirty-five year-old Bradley Allan KECK, DOB: 1979-10-26, of Regina, has been charged with Production of a Scheduled Substance (cannabis resin) [7(1) CDSA]; Possession of a Scheduled Substance (cannabis marihuana) [4(1) CDSA] and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 [355(a) CC]. KECK will make his court appearance in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on July 21, 2015.
