The Regina Police Service is conducting an investigation into a sexual assault that happened around 0100 hours this morning. Police attended to a Regina Hospital to speak to a 28 year old female victim. The victim was walking home in the alley of 2000 Cornwall Street when she was approached by a male on a bicycle. The male spoke to the victim and then got off his bike and assaulted her. He rendered her unconscious by choking her. The victim was then sexually assaulted and when she woke she fled the area. The male suspect is described as a native male, early 20’s, thin build, 5”11 inches tall, wearing a light blue shirt and blue jeans. He was riding a mountain bike.
Police are still investigating the incident and no further details are available at this time. The Regina Police Service is releasing this information in the interest of advising the public ensure they are aware of its occurrence.
