A 14 year-old male has been charged following police investigation into a complaint of a suspicious male. The original complaint, made public in a May 1st news release, involved a 17 year-old female who was walking home from school in the area of Cambridge Avenue and Oxford Street. It’s alleged an unknown male approached the female from behind and held an electronic device under her dress attempting to take pictures.
Investigation into this incident led to identification of a viable suspect, who was arrested on May 6, 2015. The 14 year-old male faces charges in connection with this incident.
The youth cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He is charged with Assault [266 CC] and Voyeurism [162(1)(a) CC]. The accused will make his first court appearance on the charges in Youth Court on June 25, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
