Four people: an 18 year-old adult male, a 17 year-old male, a 16 year-old female and a 15 year-old male; are all facing charges after a robbery in Regina and an evade/pursuit out of the city last night.
At approximately 12:50 a.m., on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, police were dispatched to a restaurant in the 1100 block of Kramer Boulevard for a report of a robbery in progress. Information received indicated that two males, with their faces covered and armed with a knife, entered the business and threatened the employee on duty. The males stole a quantity of liquor, struggled briefly with another employee and then exited the store, getting into a parked vehicle, which had other people inside. Police had a good description of the vehicle; they located it minutes later and tried to pull it over. The vehicle evaded police and sped off, ending up westbound on Highway #1. Once on the highway, the suspect vehicle sped up to approximately 160-170 km/h. Police disengaged but maintained sight of the vehicle, which eventually pulled off the road with a flat tire. The five occupants (three males, two females) of the vehicle were arrested as they tried to flee. Upon further investigation, one of the females was released without charge and driven home. The other suspects were charged. In addition, investigation into possible related files resulted in charges against the 18 year-old in connection with a robbery that occurred on April 12, 2015, at a bar in the 4100 block of 5th Avenue.
