UPDATE: ROSS BRILTZ ARRESTED
Two males have been charged in connection with a shooting incident in North East Regina that occurred on Thursday, March 19, 2015 and sent two male victims to hospital. One of the accused has been arrested; the other is the subject of a Warrant for Arrest.
This investigation began at about 6:09 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015, when police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Cornwall Street North for a report of an injured male. Police and EMS arrived and located a 25 year-old male, who had sustained life-threatening injuries. A second male victim, 22 years old, was found a few blocks away. Both victims sustained apparent gunshot wounds and were transported to hospital. The 22 year-old victim has since been released from hospital. The 25 year-old victim remains in hospital. Investigation into this event led to the arrest of an 18 year-old male on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. A warrant was requested and authorized for the second accused, a 23 year-old male.
Eighteen year-old Tyrik Jahil Peter ROSS, DOB: 1997-01-19, of Regina, is charged with Two charges of Attempt Murder [239(1)(b) CC]; three charges of Assault With a Weapon [267(a) CC]; and Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Assault [348(1)(a) CC]. Tyrik Jahil Peter ROSS will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
Twenty-three year-old Jorden Dean Peter ROSS-BRILTZ, DOB: 1991-07-07, (pictured above) of no fixed address, is the subject of a Warrant for Arrest. ROSS-BRILTZ is charged with Two charges of Attempt Murder [239(1)(b) CC]; three charges of Assault With a Weapon [267(a) CC]; and Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Assault [348(1)(a) CC].
