The Regina Police Service has charged two 24 year-old males with drug trafficking.
The police investigation, in cooperation with Regina Airport Authority, involved the Regina Police Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team, the Investigative Response Unit and the Canine Unit.
The arrests occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. yesterday, Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the Regina International Airport. The two individuals are alleged to have been in possession of a more than 15 pounds of marihuana and a quantity of marihuana resin.
Charged in this case are: 24 year-old Geoffrey Stuart LAWRENCE, DOB: 1990-08-13, of Moose Jaw, and 24 year-old Alex WILLIAMS, DOB: 1990-05-24, of Agassiz, BC. Both are charged with two charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to sec. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Both men made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
