A 27 year-old male and a 25 year-old male have been charged in connection with a robbery that occurred in Regina early Saturday morning.
At approximately 12:44 a.m., on Saturday, February 21, 2015, police were dispatched to a business on the 2100 block of Albert Street for a report of a fight in progress. It is believed that a short time earlier, two twenty-nine year old males were outside the business when three male suspects approached and began assaulting one of the males, demanding money. The other male attempted to stop the robbery and was also assaulted. The three suspects fled on foot. Both victims had what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries and the initial assault victim was transported to hospital by EMS.
Canine tracked two males to the 2100 block of Queen Street where they were arrested.
Twenty-seven year-old Jason Lee BIRD (1988/01/05) is charged with Assault with Intent to Steal [343(C) CC], and two charges of Fail to Comply with Probation Order [733.1(1) CC].
Twenty-five year-old Adrian Preston BRASS (1989/02/06) is charged with Assault with Intent to Steal [343(C) CC].
Both males made their court appearance this morning, Monday, February 23, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
