On February 20, 2015 at 9:46 a.m. police were dispatched to a business on the 200 block of Solomon Drive for the report of a weapons offense.
It is alleged that a 34 year-old male, believed to be intoxicated, entered the business and threatened to shoot an employee. The male left and returned moments later carrying a firearm. After another employee confronted him, the male left again. No one was injured in this incident. At approximately 1:15 pm the suspect was located by Craik RCMP in Chamberlain, pulled over, and taken into custody. A firearm was not recovered. Police are continuing their investigation in order to recover the weapon.
34 year-old Glenn Justin IRONCHILD, 1980/09/04, of Regina, is charged with Assault with a Weapon [267(a) CC], Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose [88 CC], and Uttering Threats [264.1(1) CC]. IRONCHILD is currently in custody of the Regina Police Service and will make his first appearance in court Monday, February 23, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. IRONCHILD will also face additional charges as laid by the RCMP.
