The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public to assist in an investigation into a robbery that occurred on January 28, 2015 at a restaurant in the 5600 block of Rochdale Boulevard. Police are releasing some video images of the event, hoping to generate tips.
At about 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28th, police were dispatched to a report of a robbery that had occurred around 3:20 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicates a Caucasian male entered the business wearing a black mask over most of his face and carrying a black aluminum bat with a silver tip. The suspect went to the counter and demanded the employee open the till. When that was unsuccessful, the suspect struck the cash register a number of times and then exited the store, getting into a white car and fleeing the scene. The employee was not physically hurt in the robbery. The suspect is described as male, Caucasian, about 25 years old, wearing a black face mask (possibly balaclava), black jacket with some writing on the right chest, black and yellow work gloves, black pants and grey loafer-style shoes.
